Will I Have to Pay Child Support if I Have Joint Custody?

I am trying to get some sort of joint custody with my ex-wife, and I am wondering if this will affect the amount of child support that I will have to pay. What are the rules regarding Joint Custody Child Support? I have heard that most likely I will still have to pay just as much child support as if my ex-wife had sole custody, is this true? I am wondering whether there might be any situation in which I wouldn’t have to pay child support. We make almost the same amount of money, so I would think that maybe I wouldn’t need to pay as much child support.

Most people fear that they would lose their sense of security once they get a divorce. This fear of divorce causes them to be anxious that no one would support them the way their spouse did. However, as time passes by the person learns to deal with it and gets on with his or her life. Once an individual is able to win over the fears he or she would cope with life better.
